Today's Aries reading
On Friday, October 23, 2026, this page shows a Western tropical sun-sign note for Aries. Tropical astrology is the sun-sign calendar most daily horoscope apps use. Aries covers Mar 21 – Apr 19 on this site. It is a cardinal fire sign (a starter who begins things) ruled by Mars. Today's focus is work & path.
Aries opens the tropical year at the March equinox. That is why many Western sun-sign columns treat it as a beginning, not a midpoint. This site lists Mars as the ruler. Cardinal fire means start moving, then adjust. Popular daily notes talk about speed, blunt honesty, and trying something before the plan is perfect.
Aries season is the first of four cardinal signs that mark a solstice or equinox. The date band on this site is Mar 21 – Apr 19. A daily Aries note often asks where you can begin one clean action. Then leave the rest for later. Do not start three races at once.

Aries is the first sign in the Western zodiac. The Western zodiac is the tropical calendar most horoscope apps use. Aries is a cardinal fire sign. Cardinal means a starter who moves first. Fire means fast action. Mars is listed as the ruler. Mars is the planet named after the Roman god of war. Folk lists often call Aries honest, brave, and quick to act.
People may feel better once they start moving. Waiting and overthinking can feel worse. Aries folks can be competitive. They may speak before the full story is clear. That can sting. Many bounce back fast because trying feels more natural than sitting still. Your sun sign is only one piece of a birth chart. Moon, rising, and other planets add more detail. Aries often shows how you meet a challenge: head-on, with energy and a fresh start.

A person born on April 5, 1990 has the Western sun sign Aries.
That same date is the Year of the Metal Horse in the Chinese year calendar and the Alder moon on the Celtic tree calendar. Those systems do not copy the sun sign.
