Why the labels differ
Western sun signs use tropical solar months. Tropical means tied to the seasons.
Indian Vedic Moon uses sidereal astronomy. Sidereal means a star-based zodiac.
Chinese Sheng Xiao year animals switch at Lunar New Year, not January 1. Tibetan year animals switch at Losar (Tibetan New Year).
Mayan day-signs use a 260-day sacred count. Celtic trees split the solar year. Akan names follow weekday rhythm.
