A tropical zodiac sign is a Western sign tied to the seasons. The twelve signs start at the March equinox (0 degrees Aries). They track the solar year, not fixed star clusters.

Fixed stars drift
Because equinox points precess, tropical signs slowly slide against the star background over centuries. That gap is why sidereal signs differ.
