A nawal (plural nawales) is one of twenty day-signs in the Tzolk'in. Jaguar, Wind, Night, and so on in K'iche'-aligned spellings used in apps.
Each Gregorian date maps to a nawal plus a tone (1-13) in simplified arithmetic used for cultural learning outside ceremony.
