Losar marks the start of the Tibetan lunar year. Birth-year animals in Tibetan folk astrology advance at Losar, not on January 1.
Losar often falls near Chinese Lunar New Year but not always on the same day. Our Tibetan card uses Losar date tables for late-winter births.
Iron vs Metal
Tibetan element names use Iron where Chinese tables say Metal. Our labels follow Tibetan convention on the Tibetan card.
